“The gifts we received in 2021 are making Regent’s ministry possible in 2022.”

The Regent College community has much to be grateful for as it enters a new year. In particular, Regent has been blessed by an outpouring of support from alumni and friends in response to its year-end fundraising efforts. These gifts are already at work as Regent welcomes new and returning students to a new semester of learning and spiritual formation.

Director of Advancement Richard Thompson commented on the results of Regent’s Christmas giving appeal.

“Once again, I’m reminded that Regent’s donor community is just the best! We received over 400 donations, and we’ve far surpassed our Christmas fundraising goal of $175,000. I’m especially thrilled to see the variety of alumni and friends who contributed, from long-term financial partners who have been giving faithfully for decades, to brand new donors making their very first gift. Our donors truly represent the breadth of the global Regent community.”

Richard emphasized the importance of donor generosity for Regent’s ongoing ministry.

“The gifts we received in 2021 are making Regent’s ministry possible in 2022. Students, faculty, staff—none of us would be here without those gifts and that support. It’s been a tough couple years, but we always say that God provides for Regent’s mission through the generosity of donors. That’s never been more clear to me than it is today. And I’ve never been more grateful. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you—to God and to our donors! ”

As 2022 unfolds with its own opportunities and challenges, the Regent community continues to rely on God’s provision through the generosity of his people. To learn more about how you can help meet Regent’s financial needs in the coming year, please visit our giving page.
