One year into the COVID-19 crisis, Regent’s mission continues. No one would have chosen these circumstances, but the Regent community is committed to the work God has entrusted to us.
Being Regent during a pandemic is hard. It’s costly. But it’s worth it.
It’s hard because it's a constant process of discernment, experimentation, and adjustment. Translating the Regent experience into a world of ongoing travel restrictions and physical distancing isn't simple.
It's costly because adaptation demands investment. We’re investing in new staff who help us comply with safety guidelines, new equipment that facilitates hybrid learning, and new library resources that students can access anywhere. Our students are making tremendous sacrifices to study right now, and we want to support them.
Most of all, though, it's worth it. It's worth it because God has entrusted us with these students at this time. And they matter. Their learning matters. Their contribution to God’s kingdom matters.
