Book of Common Prayer (1662)

Almighty God,
unto whom all hearts be open,
    all desires known,
and from whom no secrets are hid:
Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts
by the inspiration of thy Holy Spirit,
that we may perfectly love thee,
and worthily magnify thy holy name:
Through Christ our Lord.
    Amen.

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing

Lyrics: Robert Robinson, Martin Madan | Tune (Nettleton): unknown

Come thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
Praise his name, I’m fixed upon it
The name of God’s redeeming love

Hitherto thy love has blest me
Thou hast brought me to this place
And I know thy hand will bring me
Safely home by thy good grace
Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wand’ring from the fold of God
He to rescue me from danger
Bought me with his precious blood

Oh, to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be
Let thy goodness like a fetter
Bind my wandering heart to thee
Prone to wander, Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, oh, take and seal it
Seal it for thy courts above

Prone to wander, Lord I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, oh, take and seal it
Seal it for thy courts above

He Shall Reign

© 2008 Tom Wuest (recorded with permission)

Come broken, come captive
Come all you who mourn
O groaning creation, rejoice
A child, a savior
Our healing he brings
What freedom! What consolation!

He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign
He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign

He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign
He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign

He’ll order his kingdom
With justice and peace
O merciful one, O Lamb of God
All nations, all people
All heaven and earth
Will bow down and to him proclaim

Él reinará (Él reinará), Él reinará
Él reinará (Él reinará), Él reinará

Él reinará (Él reinará), Él reinará
Él reinará (Él reinará), Él reinará

He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign
He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
    hallowed be your name,
    your kingdom come,
    your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
Lead us not into temptation,
    but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory,
    forever and ever.
Amen.

Be Thou Our Vision

Lyrics: Mary E. Byrne | Music (Slane): traditional Irish melody

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart
Naught be all else to me save that thou art
Thou my best thought by day or by night
Waking or sleeping thy presence my light

Be thou my wisdom and thou my true word
I ever with thee and thou with me Lord
Thou my great Father and I thy true child
Thou in me dwelling to thee reconciled

Riches I heed not nor vain empty praise
Thou mine inheritance now and always
Thou and thou only first in my heart
High King of Heaven my treasure thou art

High King of Heaven my victory won
May I reach heaven's joys, O bright Heaven's Sun
Heart of my own heart whatever befall
Still be my vision O Ruler of all
