The Pastor's Identity as Being 'In Christ'

Pastors are invited to join Dr. Jim Houston for this morning address, in which he will critique the modern obsession with professional identity. We will explore how far Confucian culture still influences social hierarchy in the local church. We will also consider where revision is needed in our denominational doctrinal ecclesiology. What new freedoms are needed locally to practice the priesthood of all believers? Join us as we ask whether and how the Pauline identity of being "in Christ" remains applicable to our contemporary lives as Christians. We look forward to engaging in much discussion and dialogue around these issues.
