Regent's Evening Public Lecture series is back for another summer! Join us in person or online to explore Scripture, theology, culture, and much more with Summer Programs faculty and other exciting speakers.

To livestream this and other Evening Public Lectures, visit us at rgnt.net/live.

About the Lecture

The Household Codes (Eph 5:21-6:9) are among the most difficult passages in the New Testament for modern readers. Paul calls Christians to submit to each other, and he insists that God does not prefer one group over another. A careful reading of Ephesians helps us live out this gospel truth in our communities.

About the Speaker

Lynn Cohick is Provost/Dean and Professor of New Testament at Northern Seminary. She explores the social world of the early Church, with a focus on the Apostle Paul and his letters. She has published widely on early church culture, Paul's letters, and women in the early church. Her books include The Letter to the Ephesians in the NICNT (2020), Christian Women in the Patristic World: Their Influence, Authority, and Legacy in the Second through the Fifth Centuries (Co-authored, 2017), Philippians in The Story of God Bible Commentary (2013), and Women in the World of the Earliest Christians (2009).

Dr. Lynn Cohick is teaching New Testament Foundations from July 4 to July 15 as part of Regent’s 2022 Summer Programs.
