Course Description

Embark on an eight-day voyage through Gulf Islands in replicas of 18th C. boats, while studying the impact that technologies—both traditional and modern—have had and continue to have upon the Christian life. As you row, sleep beneath the stars and watch seals and otters, contemplate where our technologies are in sync and at odds with Creation. No previous boating experience required. Maximum enrollment: 12 credit students. No auditors.

Location: This course takes place off-site, on a boat sailing between the Gulf Islands. 

Additional course fee: $650 CAD.

Special Registration Deadlines:  Because food and boat preparations need to be made in advance, this course has special registration deadlines. The last day to register for this course is Friday, May 13, 2022. The last day to drop the course for 100% tuition refund and additional course fee refund is midnight on Friday, May 13, 2022. The last day to drop the course for 50% tuition refund is midnight on Friday, June 17, 2022. No refunds will be provided after June 17, 2022, but the course may be dropped without refund until Friday, July 8, 2022. 

Full payment is due by Friday, May 13, 2022. If registration and full payment are not received by Friday, May 13, 2022, you may be removed from the course and your spot may be given to the next person on the waitlist. Tuition benefits do not apply to this course.

Participation in this course requires liability and medical release forms, the latter of which requires students to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 according to Health Canada's standards, as well as having at least one booster shot.
