Archie J. Spencer
About
Archie J. Spencer has been teaching systematic and historical theology in various contexts for over thirty years. He currently serves as John H. Pickford Professor of Theology at Northwest Baptist Seminary, where he has been teaching since 2001. He has also taught in Trinity Western University's Religious Studies Department. His areas of expertise include the history of doctrine, the theology of Karl Barth, modern theology, second- and third-century Alexandrian theology, and theological method. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, chapters, and book reviews, as well as two Books: The Analogy of Faith (IVP Academic, 2015) and Clearing a Space for Human Action (Peter Lang, 2004). He has also lectured internationally and is a member of numerous academic societies, including the Karl Barth Society of North America, Society for the Study of Theology (UK), and the American Academy of Religion. He served as Visiting Associate Professor of Theology at Regent College during 2015/2016 academic year.
