The Mysterious Manner of Flannery O'Connor
Course Description
Many find Flannery O’Connor’s work bewildering and odd. And it is! But there is a method to her madness. In this course, we’ll study that method. We’ll start by reading O’Connor’s collection of essays, Mystery and Manners, then plunge into some of her best short stories. Along the way, we'll learn a bit about O’Connor’s life and faith and their presence in her disturbing, dazzling writing. In the process, we’ll come to see our own lives and faith more deeply.
