Course Description

This course is designed to help students develop a comprehensive and integrated understanding of the mission of God, with a particular emphasis on its implications for peace. Mission is not merely about converting individuals or expanding spiritual territory; rather, it is a holistic engagement with the world that seeks the realization of God's ultimate peace.

To support this understanding, the course begins with a study of the biblical and theological foundations of mission. It then explores how various Christian traditions have pursued peace through mission, highlighting diverse theological and practical approaches. Finally, the course critically examines historical interpretations of the relationship between the church and the world, enabling students to construct their own theology of mission rooted in peace and reconciliation.
