Linda Chonco has worked in communications, public relations, and social impact, including co-founding The Zanokhanyo Network. She holds a BA from UCT and an MA in Leadership, Theology & Society from Regent College, and now focuses on writing and supporting marginalized communities.
Jolene Nolte
Jolene is a writer and editor who graduated from Regent in 2020 (MATS, Arts Concentration). Her IPIAT project, Tender Sieve: Poems, was published officially in 2023. In her Regent days, she filed books at the Bookstore and library, was editor for the Et Cetera, wandered Pacific Spirit Park and most of Vancouver’s thrift stores. Currently, she works as a freelance writer and web content editor.
Fong Xue Ting
Xue Ting is a current MATS student at Regent College, and a visual artist, graphic designer, and writer. She has a passion for the power of stories and worldbuilding. In her free time, you'd find her working on concept art, exploring new cafes, learning new art-related software, reading, thrifting, cooking up a meal for friends, or attempting to be active—quite possibly with a cup of Paragon's genmaicha in hand.

Amelia Hamiter studied at Regent College and explored the experiences of mixed-race women in Metro Vancouver Protestant churches for her MA thesis. She is currently serving as a Pastoral Resident at City Church San Francisco in Northern California.

Graham Hoppstock-Mattson holds an MDiv ('20) and ThM ('21) from Asbury Theological Seminary. Graham is currently the admissions officer at Regent College and resides in Vancouver with his wife and two cats. He is originally from Michigan.

The Rev. Dr. Lissa Wray Beal is Professor of Old Testament at Wycliffe College, Toronto School of Theology, and an ordained Anglican priest. She holds a PhD from the University of St. Michael’s College and writes on the Old Testament’s witness to God in both history and everyday life.

Caleb Berberich is a Colorado native with an interest in life as it has been given to us. Growing up in a family of seven there was no escaping the company of others. However, leaving home to study at Regent College in Vancouver, BC. Caleb’s heart very much remains with his family as he attends to the humility of what it means to belong to others, to another, and to God. Completing a program in Christianity and the Arts, his interest in writing poetry has led him to an interest in what it means to be responsible for each other as we turn our hearts over to the call we find scattered throughout the pages of the Gospels.

Jonathan Lipps
Jonathan Lipps is an American-Canadian technologist and musician, currently working as a principal software engineer for Sony's PlayStation console team, after spending most of his career working on software for various tech startups. He also has an academic background in philosophy (MA Stanford), linguistics (MPhil Oxford), and theology (ThM Regent College), in addition to writing and collaborating on various indie music projects (Splendour Hyaline, Gol Olímpico, Anachronists). With this intersection of interests, Jonathan spends a lot of time thinking about the arts, philosophy, theology, and technology.
Naomi Pattison-Williams
Naomi is grateful to live at asiniskaw sipisis, Treaty 6 territory in rural Alberta, raising two boys, some chickens and a friendly goat. Naomi graduated from Regent College with a Master of Arts in Theological Studies and her poetry has appeared in Ekstasis, Fathom Magazine, CRUX and St. Katherine Review among others.
David C. Wang, ThM, PhD
David C. Wang, Th.M., Ph.D. is the Cliff and Joyce Penner Chair for the Formation of Emotionally Healthy Leaders at Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, CA, USA). He is also pastor of spiritual formation at One Life City Church (Fullerton, CA) and a licensed psychologist. His academic and applied work focuses on the holistic formation of Christian leaders, inclusive of the formation of emotional health and resilience alongside the leader’s intellectual and spiritual formation.

Jonathan Saunders is a singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Wheaton, IL. He grew up in England where he was exposed to a wide range of musical influences and opportunities, from big band and combo jazz, to the English choral tradition, to contemporary church music. His academic and compositional work lies at the intersection of music and theology. He is currently pursuing the MATS (Arts Track) at Regent College.

Sebastian Dortch is a former journalist and media executive with a master’s degree in leadership, theology, and society from Regent College. He lives in northeast Ohio with his wife, Sibyl.
Jared Borders
Jared is entering the final year of his MDiv degree at Regent College and is also part of the Artizo apprenticeship program run by St. John’s Vancouver. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Jared previously worked full-time as a management consultant while also serving part-time in homeless case management. Since beginning his theological studies, he has been both personally convicted and communally encouraged to pursue pastoral ministry within the Anglican tradition. He is currently interning at King’s Cross Church, a church plant in East Vancouver.

Dr. Mabiala Kenzo is a fourth-generation member of the Alliance Church in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he has served as a church planter, local church pastor, and National Church President. Dr. Kenzo currently serves as the Director of the St. Lawrence District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada. He is also an Associate Professor with l’École de théologie évangélique du Québec at Université Laval, and a Visiting Professor at Ambrose University, Regent College, and Alliance University in Congo (Boma).
Jessamin Birdsall
Jessamin holds a PhD in Sociology and Social Policy from Princeton University and has worked in the fields of international development and community development in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Her sociological research focuses on religion, race and ethnicity, and inequality. Jessamin is the co-author (with Jason Roach) of Healing the Divides: How Every Christian Can Advance God’s Vision for Racial Unity and Justice (The Good Book Company, 2022; also available in Kindle edition). She is currently Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology at Wheaton College.

Jeremy Stewart
Jeremy Stewart is a Scholar-in-Residence and Director of Communications and Public Engagement at Regent College. His research interests include modern and contemporary literature, autotheory, and the relationships between readers, writers, and texts. His first monograph, I, Daniel: An Illegitimate Reading of Jacques Derrida's "Envois," was published in 2024 by Peter Lang Verlag.
A.J. Swoboda
Rev. Dr. A. J. Swoboda is lead pastor of Faith Center in Eugene, Oregon, associate professor at Bushnell University, and mentor for the Doctor of Ministry program at Friends University. Author of over ten books, he also hosts the “Slow Theology” podcast and writes the “Low-Level Theologian” Substack.
Karen Swallow Prior
Karen Swallow Prior, Ph.D. is the 2025-26 Karlson Scholar at Bethel Seminary. She is a popular writer and speaker, a contributing writer for The Dispatch, and a columnist for Religion News Service. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Vox, The Washington Post, Christianity Today, and many other places. Her most recent book is You Have a Calling: Finding Your Vocation in the True, Good, and Beautiful (Brazos 2025).
Shelley Zhang
Shelley Zhang is Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology at Rutgers University and President of the Association for Chinese Music Research. Her work explores Chinese musicians, migration, and race through the lens of “strategic citizenship.” A poet and pianist, she bridges scholarship, storytelling, and sound in her creative practice.
Aubrey Buster
Dr. Aubrey E. Buster is Associate Professor of Old Testament at Wheaton College. She earned her Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible from Emory University and researches the Psalms, Chronicles, Ezra-Nehemiah, Daniel, and the Dead Sea Scrolls. She authored Remembering the Story of Israel and is co-authoring volumes on Daniel (NICOT) and Ezra-Nehemiah (Bible in God’s World Series).
Leah Kostamo
Leah is a Registered Clinical Counsellor based in Surrey, BC, on the traditional lands of the Semiahmoo and Coast Salish peoples. With a Master’s in Counselling, she helps adults and youth navigate transformation and healing through neuroscience-informed, compassionate therapy. She was also the co-founder of A Rocha Canada.
Geoffrey Feng
Geoffrey Caofei Feng (冯草非) is an artist currently settling in Vancouver, Canada. He is recognized as a visionary artist for his contemporary style paintings. His work is a combination of small and large scale paintings of scenery in British Columbia and bringing to light human narrative.
Geoffrey has eight years of professional learning experience from Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts in China. He graduated from the Oil Painting Department.

Levi Shiach is the Senior Content Creator at Regent College where he is also completing his MATS thesis. His research interests include literature, philosophy, addiction studies, and cultural studies. He was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C.
Shelly Rambo
Dr. Shelly Rambo is a theologian and professor at Boston University School of Theology, whose work explores the intersections of trauma, theology, and spiritual care. Her research has shaped trauma-informed approaches to chaplaincy and theological education, particularly in seminary contexts. She is the author of Spirit and Trauma: A Theology of Remaining, and Resurrecting Wounds, and is a leading voice in rethinking how Christian theology engages suffering, survival, and the work of healing.
Jeremy Hunt
Jeremy Hunt (PhD) is an affiliate assistant professor of theology and culture at Fuller Theological Seminary. He is the author of From Chaos to Ambiguity: A Theology of Noise Rock, and his music and video art explore the intersections of noise and music, visuals and static, in both contradiction and synchronicity. He runs Philip K. Discs, a DIY record label dedicated to experimental genres, and collaborates with musicians around the globe on multiple projects.
Barnabas Aspray
Barnabas is Assistant Professor of Systematic Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary and University, Baltimore, USA. He grew up in England, and spent three happy years at Regent College in 2010-2013 before moving on to doctoral studies at the University of Cambridge. He is the author of Ricœur at the Limits of Philosophy (CUP, 2022) and On the Significance of Religion for Immigration Policy (Routledge, 2025). He is a columnist for Seen & Unseen magazine and host of Faith at the Frontiers podcast.

Sarah Kathryn Craig
Sarah is the Director of New Schools for Virginia, working to expand public education that nurtures whole, healthy young people, especially those furthest from opportunity. A Virginia native, she spent 1998–2003 at Regent College, where diverse community learning proved deeply transformative. She holds degrees from William & Mary, Regent College, and Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
Joy Banks
Joy Banks is a printmaker and multidisciplinary artist based in Vancouver, Canada, the unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples. She has been carving linocut prints for over twenty years, creating work that flows out of engagement with marginalized communities, a concern for social justice, and questions of meaning and spirituality. She also facilitates creative and reflective spaces for individuals and groups. Her work invites viewers into moments of reflection where the ordinary and the sacred meet, and where art becomes a mirror for both social reality and personal meaning. Her work has been shown in exhibitions, featured in books and album covers, and is held in private collections worldwide.
Rod Wilson
Trained in clinical psychology and theology, Rod Wilson left his role as President of Regent College in 2015 after serving for 15 years. Since then, he has worked with global leaders, leadership teams, and Boards; authored articles and books; taught courses; and served as a consultant with the In Trust Center for Theological Education.

Martha Zimmerman
Martha Zimmerman is an author, a frequent speaker at churches and conferences throughout North America, and has been a guest lecturer at Regent. Her books include Celebrating Biblical Feasts (Bethany House, 2004) and Celebrating the Christian Year (Bethany House, 1994). She and her husband live in Washington State.
Paul M. Beckingham
Paul Beckingham is Assistant Professor of Church and Mission at Carey Theological College in Vancouver, Canada. He designs and records freelance radio interviews, and has authored more than sixty creative and faith-based articles which have appeared in over fifteen Christian and secular publications including Crux, The Atlantic Baptist, and FaithWorks (USA). He received the Carey Pastoral Care Prize (1993) and the Leighton Ford Award for Leadership in Evangelism (1994). He has been shortlisted or was a finalist in several annual award presentations.
Paul Helm
Paul Helm was educated at Worcester College, Oxford. He taught philosophy at the University of Liverpool, and was appointed to the Chair of the History and Philosophy of Religion, King's College, London, in 1993. He was the J.I. Packer Chair of Theology at Regent College from 2001 to 2005, when he was appointed a Teaching Fellow. His interests include all aspects of philosophical theology and Reformed theology, especially John Calvin, and issues in theological method. He publishes online at Helm's Deep. He is married to Angela and they have five children.
Luci Shaw
Luci Shaw (1928-2025) was known to the Regent community as a longtime Writer-in-Residence, the Poetry Editor of CRUX, a former Board of Governors member, and a remarkable encourager, teacher, and friend. A prolific and highly-regarded poet, Luci published eighteen collections of poetry and co-authored and edited nineteen volumes of non-fiction.
Rosie Perera
Rosie Perera worked as a software engineer at Microsoft for eleven years, where she was part of the team that created Word. She then earned a Master of Christian Studies at Regent College, with a focus on technology and spirituality. She went on to write and speak and organize conferences on that topic. These days she is a lay leader in her church, plays the trumpet in a community band, and enjoys hanging out with her dog, Ayla.
Richard Thompson
Richard Thompson serves as the Director of Advancement at Regent College, where he has been fundraising for the school for close to 20 years. His undergraduate degree was in Electrical Engineering, but his career as a memory chip designer was short-lived, sensing a call to pastoral ministry after only 4 years in the high-tech industry. That led to pursuing theological education, graduating from Tyndale Seminary with a Master of Theological Studies and then a Master of Theology from Regent College. Following 15 years of pastoral ministry, Richard joined the staff of Regent in 2006.
Mary Ruth K. Wilkinson
Mary Ruth has been married to Loren Wilkinson, Regent College professor emeritus, since 1965. They joined the faculty at Regent College in 1981. For many years Mary Ruth taught a popular course called Books, Children and God. She wrote (with her daughter Heidi) A Time to Read: Good Books for Growing Readers.
In 1988 they moved to a community-owned farm on Galiano Island. From their home on Galiano she and Loren have organized and taught together Wilderness, Technology and Creation (the “Boat Course”); Food: Creation, Community, Communion; and Gardening the City of God. They have written together the book Caring for Creation in Your Own Backyard. Loren and Mary Ruth have two grown children, three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Kirstin Jeffrey Johnson
Kirstin is a George MacDonald scholar living on a farm in Canada’s Ottawa Valley. She writes and lectures internationally on MacDonald, the Inklings, and Faith & the Arts, and directs Windstone Farm Linlathen, a non-profit cultivating community through theology, ecology, and the arts.
Jenna Fabiano
Jenna Fabiano is a Regent alumna (MDiv 2017) and currently serves as the Lead Pastor of Willoughby Christian Reformed Church in Langley, BC. She and her husband, Daniel, live in Coquitlam with their two sons--Malakai and Elijah.
