About the Contributor
Alejandra Ortiz lives in Tijuana, México, and serves from this binational neighborhood with her my family. Ale has been married to Abdiel for more than 10 years and have 2 daughters, Erandi (8) and Ayari (4). Ale serves on staff in the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) and for the last 5 years she co-lead an initiative that mentors young scholars and professors in the dialogue between sciences, culture, and faith in the universities in Latin America. Her doctoral research at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies (OCMS) explores the history and missiology of Latin American evangelicalism, focusing on gender issues. She is exploring how women have contributed to the region's theology and missions of key movements.
