About the Contributor

Fiona Dieffenbacher is an Associate Professor of Fashion and Associate Dean in the School of Fashion at Parsons School of Design. Her research is located at the intersection of dress, embodiment and spirituality, with an emphasis on the 'space in between' theory and practice. She founded The En[...]Clothed Collective in 2020 - a global group of practitioners who center bodily knowledge in the articulation of theory.  She is the author of "Fashion Thinking: Creative Approaches to the Design Process," 2nd Edition (Bloomsbury, 2020) and an editor of Fashion Practice: The Journal of Design, Creative Process and the Fashion Industry. In 2023 she launched a public program: Fashion-Faith: Rituals and Dialogues to be followed by a forthcoming exhibition in the Aronson Gallery at Parsons in February 2026.
