Lucila Crena is currently pursuing a PhD in Theology, Ethics, and Culture at the University of Virginia. Most recently, she served as faculty and Academic Committee member of the Comunidad de Estudios Teológicos Interdisciplinarios, a theological education institution serving Latin America.

Before turning to theology, Lucila studied economics at Emory University, and pursued a career in strategy consulting in the private and non-profit sectors. She began her career at Bain & Company, where she was part of various teams advising Fortune 500 companies in the financial services, telecommunications, retail, and hospitality industries. After Bain, Lucila transitioned to the non-profit sector, serving in various strategy positions for ProInspire, the Sustained Dialogue Campus Network, and Year Up. Previously, Lucila interned for Molinos Río de la Plata (one of Argentina’s most time-honoured companies), the Latin American Research Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and the Americas Program at the Carter Center.
