Where are you coming from?

From the Vancouver International Airport

The Vancouver International Airport is located at 3211 Grant McConachie Way in Richmond, British Columbia.

By car: 

  1. Leaving the airport, head north towards Vancouver.
  2. Stay in the right-hand lane as you drive over the Arthur Laing Bridge.
  3. Take the Granville Street exit.
  4. Stay in the left-hand lane on Granville Street, heading north.
  5. Take the second possible left turn onto SW Marine Drive.
  6. Stay on SW Marine Drive until 16th Avenue.
  7. Turn right onto 16th Avenue.
  8. Turn left at Wesbrook Mall (name of a street) Gate 10.
  9. Regent College is at the corner of Wesbrook Mall and University Blvd.

By public transit (Canada Line train): Vancouver's public transit system, Translink, now offers rapid transit train service directly from the airport to downtown Vancouver via the Canada Line. To travel directly to Regent College, exit the Canada Line at the Broadway-City Hall stop. Board the 99-B-Line bus heading west on Broadway Street, which will take you directly to UBC campus (last stop). If you are not travelling directly to Regent College, you can exit the Canada Line at a number of stations, where buses will take you to your destination. From the US-Canada border

  1. Head North on Highway 99 from the Peace Portal Arch.
  2. Stay on Highway 99 through the Massey Tunnel and over the Oak Street Bridge.
  3. Turn left onto 41st Avenue.
  4. Keep right on 41st Avenue—it will turn into SW Marine Drive.
  5. Stay on SW Marine Drive until you reach 16th Avenue.
  6. Turn right onto 16th Avenue.
  7. Turn left at Wesbrook Mall (Gate 10).
  8. Regent College is located at the corner of Wesbrook Mall and University Blvd.

From the TransCanada Highway 1

  1. Head west along TransCanada Highway 1.
  2. Exit onto Grandview Highway.
  3. Stay on Grandview Highway heading west. It will become 12th Avenue, and eventually 10th Avenue.
  4. Stay on 10th Avenue until you reach UBC, where 10th Avenue becomes University Blvd.
  5. Regent College is located at 5800 University Blvd.

From downtown Vancouver

By car: 

  1. Take Burrard Street going south.
  2. Turn right onto West 4th Avenue.
  3. Turn left onto Wesbrook Mall.
  4. Regent College is located at the corner of Wesbrook Mall and University Blvd.

By public transit: There are a number of buses that travel directly to the UBC campus from various locations in downtown Vancouver. Popular routes include Burrard Street and Granville Street. Metro Vancouver's public transit system, Translink, includes a large network of transit vehicles that makes getting to Regent College easy and stress-free. Parking on campus

Regent College has a small pay parking lot in which students, visitors, and members of the public are welcome to park. Some spots are designated for staff and faculty during work hours, but plenty of other spots are available too. Please note that payment is required during both daytimes and evenings, with reduced rates from 6 pm onwards.

For our Spring and Summer students, we are pleased to offer a 50% discount on our daily rate. Students will be able to park on a first-come, first-served basis for $9 per day. Visit Regent Summer Parking to get your code.

A number of additional parking options are available on the wider UBC Campus, including:

  1. Metered parking: there are quite a few parking spots with paid meters on the side streets just behind Regent College—on Western Pkwy, Dalhousie Rd, and Allison Rd.
  2. UBC paid lots: UBC operates two paid lots within a 5-minute walk of Regent College—at the UBC Hospital on Wesbrook, and behind the War Memorial Gym on Wesbrook. Get info and directions.
  3. University Chapel: A ten-minute walk from Regent, University Chapel sells monthly parking passes at reasonable rates. A limited number of weekly passes and daily passes are also available. Please visit the University Chapel website to register and pay for parking.
  4. UBC Parking Passes are available through UBC Parking. Hourly rates for visitors are also available. Please visit their website for up-to-date rates.

What to bring

It is quite easy to find used furniture, household items, and clothing in Vancouver. Don't worry about bringing a lot of linens, pots, etc., unless you have lots of space—but do bring photos, music, or mementos that will help make Vancouver feel a little more like home.
