"I am deeply grateful for the prayers and support of the Regent community over the last three months."

We are very pleased to announce that Dr. Jeff Greenman will return to his duties as President of Regent College on January 14, 2019.

In the Fall 2018 term Dr. Greenman went on medical leave in order to undergo heart surgery. We are happy to report that he has recovered well and is eager to step back into his role as President.

Jeff will be on campus offering instruction to Regent's MALTS students on January 7–11. He will resume his regular duties as President the following week. At that time Paul Spilsbury, who has served as Acting President through Jeff's medical leave, will return to his role as Academic Dean.

Commenting on his return to work, Jeff said, “I am deeply grateful for the prayers and support of the Regent community over the last three months. Those prayers––both for me and for the College––have been a gift to us all. It has been a blessing to see God’s good provision in the midst of this unusual experience.

“I want to extend my particular thanks to Paul, whose leadership and support have been essential in carrying the College forward in my absence. Through my time away, it was a relief to know that the College was in good hands.”

Regent’s staff, Board of Governors, and faculty would like to thank all those who have prayed for Jeff’s surgery and recovery, for Paul as he has held this interim role, and for the ongoing life of the College. We are deeply grateful for your care and for God’s provision. Please continue to hold us in your prayers as we move into this new year.
