Regent College is delighted to share the following faculty updates, recently approved by our Board of Governors.

Diane Stinton

Dr. Diane Stinton has been re-appointed for another five-year term as Dean of Students and Associate Professor of Mission Studies & World Christianity.

Diane, a Regent alumna, returned to the College in 2010 after teaching theology for many years in Kenya, where she helped launch two new programs: an MTh in African Christianity at Daystar University, and an MTh in World Christianity at the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST). Her classroom teaching and leadership of the Dean of Students Office have endeared her to students over the years, while her research interests and deep relationships with theologians in Africa and around the world have enriched the Regent community’s self-understanding as part of a truly global body of Christ.

Academic Dean Jerry Hwang celebrated this re-appointment. "Diane is deeply esteemed by faculty, staff, and students for her careful work as both Dean of Students and a faculty member in World Christianity. She brings the combination of a personal touch and global perspective to all she does. Congratulations, Diane!"

David S. Robinson

Dr. David Robinson has been promoted to Associate Professor of Marketplace Theology and Leadership and granted appointment without term (effective May 1, 2026).

Before assuming his current role as the inaugural R. Paul Stevens Chair of Marketplace Theology and Leadership and head of the Master of Arts in Leadership, Theology & Society (MALTS) program, David worked closely with Ross Hastings to lead Regent’s initiatives in science and theology. His recent research on theological ethics and sustainability draws on his multi-disciplinary work at Regent and beyond.

Jerry Hwang congratulated David on his promotion. "David is a stellar faculty member whom we are delighted to promote to Associate Professor. He is not only a standard bearer who continues Regent's legacy as the incumbent of the R. Paul Stevens Chair in Marketplace Theology and Leadership, but also continues to chart new directions due to his many publications and pioneering work in directing the MALTS program."

Rhonda M. McEwen

Dr. Rhonda McEwen has been appointed to a five-year term as Teaching Fellow.

Rhonda has been part of Regent’s faculty since 2018, when she was appointed as Associate Professor of Education and Culture and Director of Regent Exchange. A multi-year, grant-funded project, Regent Exchange walked alongside a number of partner churches in the Cascadia region as they explored their vocation to connect faith with all of life and explore the common good. She also taught a variety of courses focused on equipping students for active and informed engagement in the church and the world.

Jerry Hwang noted Rhonda’s recent and ongoing contributions. "Rhonda has been an integral part of Regent for many years as a professor and colleague, and we are grateful to continue this association through her work as Teaching Fellow. Congratulations, Rhonda!"

We are grateful for God’s ongoing provision of gifted faculty who are deeply invested in the lives of their students and the Regent community as a whole.
