From Monday, March 16, to Friday, March 20, Regent College’s websites and online services will be affected by major system maintenance at UBC. These long-planned upgrades will serve the Regent community well in the future, but on- and off-campus students and other website users should anticipate some short-term disruptions during Reading Week (March 16–20). Regent’s IT team will be participating in the system maintenance throughout the week, and will therefore be unable to provide regular tech support services to students, staff, and faculty.
Please also note that Regent's building will be closed on Saturday, March 21, for scheduled facilities maintenance. This is unrelated to the IT work taking place earlier in the week.
System Maintenance Schedule
The following effects should be expected to start at 9 am Pacific Time on the date specified.
Monday, March 16
- The following services will be offline for part or all of the day:
- Interactive elements of Regent’s main website (e.g., search, form submission, applications for admission, online donations)
- REGIS and Moodle
- All Regent-operated websites (e.g., Regent Bookstore, Dal Schindell Gallery, etc.)
- Wireless and wired internet access will be unavailable on campus.
- The building will be open, but most College staff will not be working onsite.
- Our library and bookstore will be closed.
Tuesday, March 17
- Some Regent websites, including the Dal Schindell Gallery site, will be offline for part or all of the day.
- There will be no wireless internet access on Regent’s campus.
- The Regent Bookstore will be closed.
Wednesday, March 18
- No maintenance is planned. All systems should work normally.
Thursday, March 19
- On-campus printing and off-campus access to library catalogues will be offline for part or all of the day.
Friday, March 20th
- REGIS and Moodle will be offline for part or all of the day.
While these outages are inconvenient, we are very grateful to Regent’s IT team for their hard work and careful preparation to minimize the impact of university-wide system maintenance. And we’re grateful to our onsite and online community for your patience!
