New Library Direction for Regent College and Carey Theological College
Carey Theological College and Regent College are pleased to announce that, effective July 1, 2017, Regent College has agreed to take over full ownership and operation of the John Richard Allison Library, while Carey Theological College develops a new electronic library resource for its online students.
Regent College and Carey Theological College entered into a library partnership thirty-five years ago with the goal of bringing their respective students the most comprehensive collection of theological books in Western Canada. Since then, Carey has increased its online presence in order to provide accredited graduate theological programs to students living throughout the world. Regent continues to focus on providing embodied theological education to Canadian and international students at its campus in Vancouver. The John Richard Allison Library will continue to house an extensive collection of print resources and a targeted collection of electronic resources for Regent students, while Carey’s new electronic library will build a comprehensive set of digital resources accessible from anywhere and at any time for its students.

This new direction will allow both Carey and Regent to focus on developing the library resources that best serve their respective communities.
