Mental illness affects people of all ages, regardless of income, education, or culture.
Given its prevalence, as well as the burden of disability and spiritual suffering that mental illness occasions, this special presentation by Dr. James Holmlund and Dr. Don Lewis will seek to provide a basic understanding of the issues and options in order to help the local church provide support for those in need of help.
Dr. Don Lewis teaches at Regent College and has co-taught a course with Dr. Holmlund entitled “The Person, the Pastor and the Psychiatrist” which deals with mental health issues.
Dr. James Holmlund has been practicing psychiatry in Western Canada for 30 years.
