Daniel Block is a native Canadian, having been raised in the home of a Mennonite Brethren minister/farmer in Saskatchewan. He has spent the last four decades teaching the Scriptures in four different institutions: Providence College (1973-83); Bethel College (1983-1995); Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1995-2005); and Wheaton College (2005-2015). In addition he has lectured and taught classes around the world, in countries like Russia, Greece, Kenya, Colombia, China, Singapore, Australia. Throughout his life his passion has been to recover for the church the life-giving power of the Old Testament.
