About the Lecture
The Christian faith is built upon a trauma—the trauma of Christ's death on the cross. Even after his resurrection, the memories and wounds of the crucifixion persist. In this evening lecture, David C. Wang will explore John 20:19-23, drawing connections between this passage and recent research on the prevalence of direct and indirect trauma exposure among clergy. A discussion of how clergy and spiritual leaders can navigate emotionally challenging ministerial contexts and situations will conclude our time together.
