Early Christianity Roundtable

Join us on Wednesdays during this year’s Summer Programs to enjoy conversations with members of our summer faculty. The professors and topics are different each week, so there’s always something new to explore.

This week theologian Amy Brown Hughes and New Testament scholar David A. deSilva will discuss topics related to early Christianity.

Speaker
Dr. Amy Brown Hughes is an Associate Professor of Theology at Gordon College. She received her PhD in historical theology with an emphasis in early Christianity from Wheaton College and is the author (with Lynn H. Cohick) of Christian Women in the Patristic World: Their Influence, Authority, and Legacy in the Second Through Fifth Centuries (Baker Academic, 2017).
Dr. David A. deSilva serves as Trustees’ Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Greek at Ashland Theological Seminary. He is the author of over thirty books, including Honor, Patronage, Kinship, and Purity (rev. ed., IVP, 2022) and Discovering Revelation (Eerdmans, 2021).

Wednesday Lunchtime Conversations are offered onsite at Regent College. These events are open to the public, and no registration is required.
