About the Lecture
One of the key elements of human thriving is purpose. What is the purpose of my life? What is my calling? This lecture will look at some biblical material on calling and how we can get a better idea as to what that calling may be. Soo-Inn suggests that any personal calling is an expression of the stewardship of our uniqueness, and that we need to visit/revisit this topic at various stages of life: as a young adult embarking on our working life, as an exercise for possible course correction at mid-life, and for clarity as to what we should focus on in our later years.

Soo-Inn Tan
Professional-in-Residence; Chaplain, Christian Medical Dental Fellowship, Singapore
Rev. Dr. Soo-Inn Tan's primary passions include connecting the word of God to the struggles of daily life and promoting the discipline of spiritual friendship. He journeys with people through his ministry of preaching/teaching, writing, and mentoring, and has authored eleven books that cover mentoring, spiritual friendship, and intergenerational research.
Soo-Inn serves as the Chaplain of the Christian Medical Dental Fellowship, Singapore, and helps with the regional work of the International Christian Medical Dental Association. He also teaches part time in various seminaries in Malaysia and Singapore. He has been a supporter of Arsenal Football Club since 1971 and his favourite movie is Star Wars 4.
