Grace and Forgiveness in Contemporary Drama
Explore the interplay between theology and contemporary theatre, with particular attention to biblical and artistic expressions of grace and forgiveness. Read works by contemporary playwrights Margaret Edson, August Wilson, Lucas Hnath, and Cormac McCarthy; then engage key scenes played out in class by professional actors from Pacific Theatre. Gain a richer understanding of how the artistry of our own lives is caught up in the reality of God's unfolding drama.
Special Note: Students have the option to attend a performance at Bard on the Beach, for which there will be an additional cost. If you wish to be part of a group rate, please register by March 29.
