Fall Retreat 2026
Each September, we start the school year with a retreat for Regent students, staff, faculty, spouses, and kids. This is a chance for us to get away and connect with God, creation, each other, and ourselves—a time to worship, eat, play, and rest as we grow in friendship with one another.
This year's retreat will take place from 6 pm on Friday, September 25, to 1 pm on Sunday, September 27.
We are excited to be heading back to RockRidge Canyon, a beautiful Young Life camp tucked in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains near Princeton, BC.
The retreat includes:
- Two nights of accommodation and six delicious meals.
- Three sessions with our speakers (nursery and children’s programs provided).
- Opportunities to get to know faculty and fellow students.
- Opportunities for personal reflection and prayer.
- A big group dance—fun for all ages (no skill needed).
- A variety show—always full of laughter and talent.
- Plenty of free time to rest, study, hike, kayak, mountain bike, and participate in a variety of other activities offered by RockRidge Canyon (more details to come)!
We are looking forward to being together, and hope you'll join us for this fun and formative weekend.

Weekend Theme and Teaching
Real Presence: Theological Education on the Emmaus Road
As we prepare for the year ahead at Regent College, we may think of ourselves on the Emmaus Road (Luke 24:13-32): “As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them.” What might it mean to experience the real presence of Jesus as we “talk and discuss” with each other? And what might it mean for this to go even deeper: “They urged him strongly, ‘Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over.’” Receiving Jesus in an interior way, inviting him into our relationships, we can share the experience of the disciples: “Their eyes were opened and they recognized him.” May we say to each other at the end of year, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
Accommodation
The cost for the retreat includes two nights of accommodation, six meals, and snacks. There are three different types of accommodation: tent, dorm room, and lodge. Your overall cost for the weekend will vary according to accommodation type and whether you are registering as a student, spouse, or child. More details about pricing options are available on the registration page.
Transportation
There are carpooling options to help you get to and from Rockridge. You can either drive yourself, or drive with someone else. Drivers will contact passengers with information on pick-up and splitting fuel costs.
If you need a ride, you can check out the carpool sign up form here.
If you have space in your car and are willing to help with carpooling, please indicate this during your retreat ticket purchase and someone will be in touch with you.
