Reuben Hoetmer (DPhil, Oxford) is a Junior Research Fellow at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford. His research sits at the intersections of theology, philosophy, and sport, and he is currently completing a monograph for Routledge, Augustine, Desire, and the Philosophy of Sport, which extends his doctoral work.

Rather than offering a single answer, it provides a thoughtful framework for discerning how faith can shape our participation in one of the world's most influential cultural practices.
