Christian Education Bursaries

Designed for laypeople involved in church teaching ministry, Christian Education Bursaries let you audit a Spring or Summer course for just $80.

Regent’s Christian Education Bursaries exist to help church communities strengthen and enhance their teaching ministries. Available to laypeople involved in church-based teaching ministry, these bursaries cover most of the cost of auditing a Spring or Summer course.

If you meet the eligibility criteria below, we'd love to hear from you! You don't need to be a current student and you don't need to apply for a program: all you need is a desire to learn and enrich your teaching.

Note: Spring Session (May 11–June 12) and Summer Session (June 29–July 31) courses have different application and registration deadlines. See below for details.

Eligibility

Recipients of Christian Education Bursaries must be laypeople active in a teaching ministry in their local church (e.g., teaching Sunday school, leading a small group Bible study, etc.). Church staff members and students currently enrolled in a Regent College program are not eligible for this bursary.

Preference will be given to individuals planning to audit a course that will enhance their teaching and discipling skills.

Recipients will be expected to write a brief (250-word) reflection on what they’ve learned in the course.
