LIVING WELL FORUM

Intimacy & Community in a Fragmenting Culture with Connally Gilliam

Monday, Feb 4, 2019 at 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (Pacific Time)

This event has now ended. Please view this page to see all our upcoming events.

Ours is a busy and fragmenting culture, spinning many of us into isolation. We long for meaningful relationships but for a host of reasons (emotional, spiritual, cultural and practical), intimacy can prove elusive and community unsustainable. With barriers looming large, how do we develop the robust, relational connectedness for which we were made? And how do we grow in our capacity to help one another navigate the inevitable relational gaps?

Join us as we reflect with Connally Gilliam on the relational life of the (transient and busy) Apostle Paul in hopes of discovering new—or perhaps ancient—ways of growing in meaningful interdependence.

Connally Gilliam holds both a BA and MT in English from the University of Virginia, and an MA in Theological Studies from Regent College (Vancouver, BC), where she also serves on the Board of Governors. Serving locally, nationally, and internationally with the US Navigators, through her speaking, writing and mentoring, Connally brings the warm, strong, and revelatory light of Jesus Christ—often through the confusing questions surrounding singleness, sexuality, gender, loss and race—to the hearts and minds of women and men.

Location
Regent College, Room 100
