Join us on Wednesdays during this year’s Summer Programs to enjoy conversations with members of our summer faculty. The professors and topics are different each week, so there’s always something new to explore.

This week, Ross Hastings and Denis Alexander will discuss ideas and perspectives related to the intersection of science and theology.

Speakers
Denis Alexander is the Founding Director (Emeritus) of The Faraday Institute for Science and Religion, Cambridge, where he is Emeritus Fellow of St. Edmund’s College. He is a past chair of the Molecular Immunology Programme and Head of the Laboratory of Lymphocyte Signalling and Development at The Babraham Institute, Cambridge. From 1992 to 2013 he was editor of the journal Science and Christian Belief; he also served as a member of the executive committee of the International Society for Science and Religion.
Ross Hastings, a Zimbabwean Scot, holds PhDs in organometallic chemistry (Queen’s University, Kingston) and theology (University of St Andrews, Scotland). His teaching interests include Trinitarian theology, pastoral theology, theology and spirituality of mission, ethics, and the interface between science and theology. Ross serves as Regent College’s Sangwoo Youtong Chee Professor of Theology.
Format
Wednesday Lunchtime Conversations are offered onsite at Regent College. These events are open to the public, and no registration is required.
While these lunchtime events will not be available online, many of the faculty participants are also delivering Evening Public Lectures that will be livestreamed and available for a limited time on Regent's YouTube channel. Visit rgnt.net/live to learn more.
