Programmer/Analyst/Data Coordinator

The Programmer/Analyst/Data Coordinator is responsible for Dynamics 365 and other data sets in support of the mission of Regent College, ensuring the data is accurate and accessible. This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.

Please note this position is onsite with the option of working from home one day a week.

  • Provide D365 support to the Advancement team to locate, solicit, respond to, report on, and receipt donors and prospects;
  • Support other teams on D365 such as Enrollment Services, CRUX, and Regent Exchange;
  • Work with the IT Director to expand the use of D365 to other teams by gathering requirements, designing solutions, and onboarding new staff;
  • Develop and maintain regular and ad hoc reports that provide actionable data, such as top donors over a period of time or recent applications by region;
  • Troubleshoot, research, and implement changes in D365 as the platform evolves and needs change;
  • Standardize and enforce data entry and retrieval policies;
  • Train staff on D365 and maintain help documentation;
  • Perform ongoing clean-up and maintenance;
  • Perform weekly maintenance in CampaignMonitor so it has accurate data;
  • Improve how the College uses CampaignMonitor by analyzing its use and designing better systems integration and processes;
  • Improve the website by analyzing usage and providing reports;
  • Develop predictive models of admissions and enrollment to help set goals and focus efforts where it will have the most impact;
  • Learn other College systems (shopify, REGIS, dashboard) and find ways to integrate data for staff to make informed decisions;
  • Process undelivered physical mail;
  • Any other duties assigned.
  • Understands and supports the ethos and mission of Regent College as articulated in the Theological Position (
  • Has a diploma in software engineering, systems analysis, data analytics, or equivalent experience
  • Has 2 years’ experience working in data analytics. Experience working in higher education fundraising, admissions, or student records would be considered an asset;
  • Has strong organizational and analytical skills: attention to detail; good time management; ability to multitask effectively; discipline to deal with issues in a timely manner; ability to plan well and anticipate needs; keeps information in an orderly manner;
  • Has a high level of customer service and is skilled at problem solving
  • Can identify and act upon opportunities to design and/or improve systems and processes
  • Is capable of working quickly and accurately while under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Has excellent communication and people skills: accurate, directive, and gracious
  • Maintains confidentiality with integrity
  • Has a demonstrated proficiency with Dynamics 365 or similar CRM;
  • Has a demonstrated proficiency with Excel;
  • Is able to learn new systems, e.g. Zapier, Wufoo;
  • Can work independently and in a team setting;
  • Experience with SQL and a computer language: C#, PHP, etc would be considered an asset;
  • Experience with web analytics; data analysis/visualization tools, e.g. Power BI/Tableau would be considered an asset;
  • Familiarity with CASL legislation and best-practice would be considered an asset
  • Other duties as assigned.
