Full-Time Faculty Position

Regent College invites applications for the open-rank faculty position of the Loren and Mary Ruth Wilkinson Chair of Interdisciplinary Studies, to begin on August 1, 2027.

The salary range for this open-rank position is $92,783–$131,999 and will come with extended health care, participation in the College’s pension plan, housing allowance, and professional development funds.

Regent is a transdenominational graduate school of theology in the historic evangelical tradition. The successful candidate will hold a graduate degree in a theological discipline as well as a doctorate in another field in the humanities or sciences, and will have a deep understanding of and sympathy for the evangelical biblical and theological intellectual traditions. The candidate will be able to demonstrate through education, publications, teaching history, and other activities an excellence in scholarship and a commitment to reflecting biblically, theologically, and creatively on vital aspects of society and culture. Further, it is desired that the candidate will be broadly familiar with the topics and issues that have traditionally been encompassed by Interdisciplinary Studies (INDS) at Regent College, such as geography, ecological ethics, philosophy, science, technology, literature, politics, art and art history, sociology, and economics. 

As with other regular faculty positions, the INDS chair involves an assigned teaching load, student supervision, committee work, ongoing research, and taking part in the community life of the College. It will also involve coordinating Regent’s courses and degree concentrations in INDS; so candidates are sought with strong administrative skills. The College will prioritize candidates who model for students a deep integration of theological learning with serious reflection on human experience.
