History of Christianity Position

Regent College invites applications for a faculty position in the History of Christianity at the assistant professor level to begin August 1, 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter. Regent is a graduate school of Theology in the evangelical tradition. Advanced study of the history of Christianity is a core component of our curriculum and Regent has a well-established history of excellence in historical scholarship. The successful candidate will have a relevant PhD and be able to demonstrate excellence in graduate teaching. They should be able to exhibit a breadth of competency in the field, with an ability to teach at least one of our foundational courses in the history of Christianity (History of Christianity I and History of Christianity II) along with electives and advanced seminars in relevant subjects. Further, the candidate will be committed to Regent’s ethos of interdisciplinary studies, especially with relation to faith and culture. They will also have the ability and willingness to supervise theses and comprehensive exams.
