Call to Worship

We worship one God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We rejoice together - God gives us God’s very self.
In Christ we know God’s love, God’s truth, God’s purpose, and God’s glory.
We worship Christ who is one with the Father and the Spirit.
Lord, in your mercy, make us one
We worship Christ who is holy and righteous.
Lord, in your mercy, sanctify us in your truth.
We worship Christ who is loving and glorious.
Lord, in your mercy, draw us into the circle of your love and glory.
We worship Christ who sends and saves.
Lord, in your mercy, send us into the world so that the world may believe.
We worship one God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
God gives us God’s very self – We come to give ourselves to God in worship!
Amen.

Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me

© 2018 Jonny Robinson, Rich Thompson, Michael Farren

What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer
There is no more for heaven now to give
He is my joy, my righteousness, and freedom
My steadfast love, my deep and boundless peace
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
For my life is wholly bound to his
Oh how strange and divine, I can sing "all is mine"
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

The night is dark but I am not forsaken
For by my side, the Saviour He will stay
I labour on in weakness and rejoicing
For in my need, His power is displayed
To this I hold, my Shepherd will defend me
Through the deepest valley He will lead
Oh the night has been won, and I shall overcome!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

No fate I dread, I know I am forgiven
The future sure, the price it has been paid
For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon
And He was raised to overthrow the grave
To this I hold, my sin has been defeated
Jesus now and ever is my plea
Oh the chains are released, I can sing "I am free!"
Yet not I, but through Christ in me

With every breath I long to follow Jesus
For He has said that He will bring me home
And day by day I know He will renew me
Until I stand with joy before the throne
To this I hold, my hope is only Jesus
All the glory evermore to Him
When the race is complete, still my lips shall repeat:
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!
Yet not I, but through Christ in me!

The Summons (Kelvingove)

Will you come and follow Me if I but call your name?
Will you go where you don't know and never be the same?
Will you let My love be shown?
Will you let My name be known?
Will you let My life be grown in you and you in Me?

Will you leave yourself behind if I but call your name?
Will you care for cruel and kind and never be the same?
Will you risk the hostile stare?
Should your life attract or scare?
Will you let Me answer prayer in you and you in Me?

Will you let the blinded see if I but call your name?
Will you set the prisoners free and never be the same?
Will you kiss the leper clean?
And do such as this unseen?
And admit to what I mean in you and you in Me?

Will you love the “you” you hide if I but call your name?
Will you quell the fear inside and never be the same?
Will you use the faith you've found?
To reshape the world around?
Though My sight and touch and sound in you and you in Me?

Lord Your summons echoes true when You but call my name?
Let me turn and follow You and never be the same
In Your company I'll go
Where Your love and footsteps show
Thus I'll move and live and grow in You and You in me

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Scripture | John 17:19–26 (ESV)

19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.
20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word,
21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,
23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world
may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.
24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me.
26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
