Polly Long
Polly Long served as a Sessional Lecturer at Regent College from 2002 to 2019, teaching New Testament Greek, preaching, and academic writing. She is featured in Episode 10 of the ReFrame series, for which she delivered a lecture on Joyful Living.
About the Contributor
After spending four years with Greater Europe Mission in Germany and eight years focused on raising children, Polly Long received her master’s degree in theology at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. While in St. Lous, she had the privilege of initiating an evangelistic outreach to women, something she had also done in Germany and England. In Vancouver, she was involved in founding a ministry to women who have been sexually exploited.
From 2002 to 2004, Polly co-taught a Regent course on preaching. In 2004, she began teaching New Testament Greek and academic writing, which she continued until her retirement in 2019. She also taught seminars on Bible study and homiletics in a number of local churches. Polly and her husband, Phil Long, have four children and six grandchildren.
