John H. Walton is Professor Emeritus of Old Testament at Wheaton College and Graduate School. He has written over 30 books, with expertise on the ancient Near East backgrounds of the Old Testament. He was the Old Testament general editor of the Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible and is best known for his "Lost World" series.
