Kyle Welty is a Lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Previous to this he served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Baylor University, Texas State Technical College, and Rapoport Academy. He completed his MCS at Regent College in 2004, worked toward a ThM (but did not finish), and went on to complete a PhD at Baylor in 2012.

Kyle has written several book reviews, articles for the Dictionary of Early American Philosophers, and The Encyclopedia of Christian Civilization, and presented at conferences across North America. He is currently in the process of revising his dissertation, which he plans to publish as "British Evangelical Missionaries, Slavery, and Anti-Slavery in the North Atlantic World, 1785-1835."
