Call to Worship

Based on Revelation 5

We gather today as the community of Jesus Christ
—a community from every tribe and language,
from every people and nation.

We gather today to worship the triumphing King,
who is the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
   the Root of David,
   and the Lamb who was slain;
For he has purchased us with his blood
and made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God.

Let us, then, join all creatures in heaven and on earth
and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!

Jesús Es Mi Rey Soberano

Words and Music: Vicente Mendoza (1920). Public Domain. Translation: Esther Frances, George Lockward, and Andrés Pérez González. Revised. Pluralized.

Jesús es mi Rey soberano
Mi gozo es cantar su loor
Es Rey y me ve cual hermano
Es Rey y me imparte su amor
Dejando su trono de gloria
El vino a cambiar nuestra historia
Y yo soy feliz
Y yo soy feliz por Él.

O Jesus our King and our sovereign
His praises we joyfully sing
He's King yet he's also our brother
He's King yet he loves you and me
And leaving his throne up in glory
He came down to retell our story
And we will rejoice
And we will rejoice in him

All Hail the Power of Jesus Name

Words and Music: Public Domain.Edward Perronet, James Ellor, and John Rippon.

All hail the pow'r of Jesus' name
Let angels prostrate fall
Bring forth the royal diadem
And crown Him Lord of all
Bring forth the royal diadem
And crown Him Lord of all

Let ev'ry kindred ev'ry tribe
On this terrestrial ball
To Him all majesty ascribe
And crown Him Lord of all
To Him all majesty ascribe
And crown Him Lord of all

O that with yonder sacred throng
We at His feet may fall
We'll join the everlasting song
And crown Him Lord of all
We'll join the everlasting song
And crown Him Lord of all

King of Heaven

Paul Baloche © 2010. Integrity Worship and Leadworship Songs

Jesus, let Your kingdom come here
Let Your will be done here, in us
Jesus, there is no one greater,
You alone, our savior
Show the ones You love

King of Heaven, come down
King of Heaven, come now
Let Your glory reign
Shining like the day
King of Heaven, come
King of Heaven, rise up
Who can stand against us?
You are strong to save
In Your mighty name
King of Heaven, come

We are, Children of Your mercy
Rescued for Your glory
We cry Jesus, set our hearts towards You
Every eye would see You
Lifted high

King of Heaven, come down
King of Heaven, come now
Let Your glory reign
Shining like the day
King of Heaven, come
King of Heaven, rise up
Who can stand against us?
You are strong to save
In Your mighty name
King of Heaven, come

King of Heaven, come
King of Heaven, come

He Shall Reign

Tom Wuest. © 2007 Brass Trumpet Publishing

Come broken, come captive
Come all you who mourn
Oh groaning creation, rejoice
A child, a savior, our healing he brings.
What freedom! What consolation!

He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign
He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign

Ta yao zhang quan (Ta yao zhang quan), Ta yao zhang quan
Ta yao zhang quan (Ta yao zhang quan), Ta yao zhang quan

He’ll order his kingdom
With justice and peace
Oh merciful one, oh Lamb of God
All nations, all people
All heaven and earth
Will bow down and to Him proclaim

Atawala (Atawala), Atawala
Atawala (Atawala), Atawala

Er wird herrschen (Er wird herrschen), Er wird herrschen
Er wird herrschen (Er wird herrschen), Er wird herrschen

Scripture | Psalm 87 (NRSV)

On the holy mount stands the city he founded;
the LORD loves the gates of Zion
more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
Glorious things are spoken of you,
O city of God.

Among those who know me I mention Rahab and Babylon;
Philistia too, and Tyre, with Ethiopia— “This one was born there,” they say . . .
[Among those who know us we mention
      North America,
     Asia,
     South America,
     Africa,
     Europe,
     Oceania,
“These ones were born there,” they say.]
. . . And of Zion it shall be said,
  “This one and that one were born in it”;
for the Most High himself will establish it.
The LORD records, as he registers the peoples,
 “This one was born there.”
Singers and dancers alike say,  “All my springs are in you.”

For the Beauty of the Earth

Conrad Kocher | Folliott Sandford Pierpoint. Public Domain.

For the beauty of the earth
For the glory of the skies
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies
Lord of all to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise

For the beauty of each hour
Of the day and of the night
Hill and vale and tree and flower
Sun and moon and stars of light
Lord of all to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise

For the joy of human love
Brother sister parent child
Friends on earth and friends above
For all gentle thoughts and mild
Lord of all to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise

For Thy church that evermore
Lifteth holy hands above
Offering up on every shore
Her pure sacrifice of love
Lord of all to Thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise

The Apostles Creed

Is He Worthy?

Andrew Peterson and Ben Shive © 2018 Jakedog Music (Admin. by Music Services, Inc.)

Do you feel the world is broken? (We do)
Do you feel the shadows deepen? (We do)
But do you know that all the dark
won't stop the light from getting through? (We do)
Do you wish that you could see it all made new? (We do)

Is all creation groaning? (It is)
Is a new creation coming? (It is)
Is the glory of the Lord to be the light within our midst? (It is)
Is it good that we remind ourselves of this? (It is)

Is anyone worthy? Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?
The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave
He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave
Is He worthy? Is He worthy?
Of all blessing and honor and glory
Is He worthy of this? He is

Does the Father truly love us? (He does)
Does the Spirit move among us? (He does)
And does Jesus, our Messiah hold forever those He loves? (He does)
Does our God intend to dwell again with us? (He does)

Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?
The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave
He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave
From every people and tribe
Every nation and tongue
He has made us a kingdom and priests to God
To reign with the Son
Is He worthy? Is He worthy?
Of all blessing and honor and glory
Is He worthy? Is He worthy?
Is He worthy of this? He is!
Is He worthy? Is He worthy? He is!
