Current Dynamics in Christian-Muslim Relationships

Monday, Jun 25, 2018 at 7:30PM - 9:00 PM
Epl-2018-480

Christianity and Islam dominate the global scene with 3.9 billion total followers: 2.3 billion Christians, and 1.6 billion Muslims. The ethos of both traditions has shaped and will continue to reshape socio-political and economic systems around the world. Exploring historical encounters between the two religions as well as variances in religious traditions can help us understand contemporary global conflicts and their impact on Christian-Muslim relationships.

Dr. Wafik Wahba is Associate Professor of Global Christianity at Tyndale Seminary in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Wahba taught Theology, Global Christianity, Cultural Contextualization and Islam in 25 countries around the globe. His publications include Christianity and Islam: Global Perspectives Intervarsity Academics, 2018. He also contributes to The Future of Reformed Theology, Eerdmans, 1999, Repentance in Christian Theology, Liturgical Press, 2006 and several others. Dr. Wahba serves on the Board of Directors for several International Christian Organizations.
