About the Lecture

Theologian and early church historian George Kalantzis will deliver an Evening Public Lecture discussing migration, refugees, and the role of the church.

About the Speaker

George Kalantzis is Professor of Theology at Wheaton College and Founding Director of the Wheaton Center for Early Christian Studies. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (FRHistS). His historical research and writing focus on the development of doctrine (especially Christological and Trinitarian thought), as well as the intersection of classical Greco-Roman society and early Christianity.

A Senior Fellow with the International Association for Refugees (IAFR), Dr. Kalantzis also writes, teaches, and lectures nationally and internationally on ethics, human rights, and the plight of persons seeking refuge from forced displacement.

Dr. Kalantzis is teaching The First Christian Centuries from July 28 to August 1 as part of Regent’s 2025 Summer Programs.
