Fall Orientation: Beginning Well at Regent

Orientation Week
Orientation is specially designed to help new students make a smooth and successful transition into the life of the Regent College community. Whether you're starting classes on campus or online, there's an Orientation for you!
During Orientation, we'll spend some time in worship and getting to know one another. We'll help you get a feel for who we are as a learning community and what we're trying to do as we share life together. We'll also give you some practical information for personal and academic success as you get started, and introduce you to some faculty and returning students.
Students often form their most important friendships at Regent during Orientation, so we'd love to see you there! Spouses are also welcome.
Note for International Students: If you're a new international student (not from North America) beginning on campus, you're expected to attend both International Student Orientation and New Student Orientation.

Orientation Details
Orientation week consists of three distinct events, each with its own purpose.
International Student Orientation (onsite students)
Friday, August 29 • 10 am–1 pm
This is a half-day orientation with information and resources for new students coming from outside North America. Lunch will be provided.
New Student Orientation (onsite students)
Tuesday, September 2–Wednesday, September 3 • 9 am–3:30 pm daily (plus optional afternoon/evening activities)
This is a two-day orientation for both international and North American students. Lunch will be available at Regent for a cost of $5 per person on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
New Student Orientation (online students)
Thursday, September 4 • Exact time to be confirmed
This is an online orientation for any students beginning their studies online, lasting 2–2.5 hours. In order for us to find a time that works best for this year's incoming group of online students, please RSVP by July 15 (form linked below) to let us know what time of day works best for you.
RSVP
Please RSVP for International Student Orientation and New Student Orientation as soon as possible! This helps us plan for Orientation and the Fall term so we can help new students get a great start at Regent.
More Events for New Students
New students who are in town before Orientation week are invited to start getting to know the Regent community in August.
Lunch on the Lawn
Friday, August 22, and Friday, August 29 • 12 pm
New and returning students planning to study onsite this Fall are warmly invited to join us for Lunch on the Lawn. Find us around the grassy area on the north side of Regent's campus, near the wind tower.
This is an informal bring-your-own-lunch event, so there's no need to RSVP! Just come with your lunch to eat and chat with other students, staff, and faculty. Join us just once or both weeks!
Welcome Desk
Monday, August 25–Friday, August 29 • 9 am–12 pm
The Welcome Desk will be available to assist new students with practical information as you get settled in the week leading up to Orientation.
A member of the New Student Orientation team will greet you and help with any questions you might have about things like your UBC card or U-Pass, health insurance, banking, or the Orientation program.
Parking
Regent College no longer has its own parking lot. Paid parking options are available nearby with metered parking on Western Parkway, among other locations, and covered pay parking at the Thunderbird Parkade. See parking.ubc.ca for more info.
