The Shape of Eschatology

Wednesday, Aug 2, 2023 at 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM (Pacific Time)

This event has now ended. Please view this page to see all our upcoming events.

Join us this summer for Wednesday Lunchtime Conversations: your chance to engage with Regent’s world-class summer faculty and special guests around ideas and questions that matter for our lives today. The speakers and topics are different each week, so there’s always something new to explore.

This week, theologians Hans Boersma and Judith Wolfe discuss the shape of eschatology—the study of last things—in Christian thought. Join us at noon in Room 100, and feel free to bring your lunch—and your questions.

Dr. Hans Boersma is Research Professor of Theology at Regent College and St. Benedict Servants of Christ Chair in Ascetical Theology at Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin. He is teaching Participation in God: From Maximus to Aquinas from July 31 to August 4.

Dr. Judith Wolfe is Professor of Philosophical Theology at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. She joins us this summer to teach Not Yet in the Now: Waiting for the Apocalypse from July 31 to August 4.

Wednesday Lunchtime Conversations will be offered onsite at Regent College. These events are open to the public, and no registration is required.

While these lunchtime events will not be available online, many of the faculty participants are also delivering Evening Public Lectures that will be livestreamed and available for a limited time on Regent's YouTube channel. Visit to learn more!
