Alumni Gathering in Washington, DC
Regent alumni and friends are warmly welcome to gather for an afternoon of conversation and light refreshments on Saturday, May 30, 3–5 pm at Clyde's of Chevy Chase (5441 Wisconsin Ave, Chevy Chase, MD) just outside Washington, DC.
A number of Regent faculty will be in town May 28–30 for the Comment Understory Festival, of which Regent's MALTS program is a sponsor. Professors Paul Spilsbury, Bruce Hindmarsh, and Jens Zimmermann will be at Saturday's alumni event; others may join the party as well, pending travel arrangements. We hope to see you there!

Bruce Hindmarsh
James M. Houston Professor of Spiritual Theology; Professor of the History of Christianity
Bruce Hindmarsh took his DPhil degree in theology at Oxford University in 1993. From 1995 to 1997, he was a Research Fellow at Christ Church, Oxford. Since then, Bruce has published and spoken widely to international audiences on the history of early British evangelicalism.
Paul Spilsbury
President; Professor of New Testament
Dr. Paul Spilsbury joined the Regent College faculty in August 2015 as Academic Dean and Professor of New Testament and assumed the role of President in 2025. Paul's doctoral studies, undertaken at the University of Cambridge (Queens' College), focused on the Jewish historian Flavius Josephus. Before joining Regent's faculty, he taught New Testament at Canadian Bible College and Ambrose University.
Jens Zimmermann
J.I. Packer Professor of Theology
Dr. Jens Zimmermann was born and raised in Germany. He studied at the University of British Columbia, earning his first PhD in Comparative Literature in 1997. He taught at UBC briefly before moving on to Trinity Western University, where he held the Canada Research Chair of Interpretation, Religion and Culture from 2006 to 2016. In 2010, Jens earned a second PhD in Philosophy from the Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany. While continuing at TWU, he also served as Visiting Professor of Philosophy, Literature & Theology at Regent College from 2016 to 2019. He was also a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge (Trinity Hall, 2017–2018), and a British Academy Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford (Christ Church College, 2018–2019). He is currently Visiting Fellow at the Center for Theology and Modern European Thought at The University of Oxford.
