Seminar: Majority World Spiritualities
Course Description
In view of the dramatic shifts in world Christianity over the past century, this seminar provides the opportunity for participants to explore selected “new faces” in formal and informal expressions of spiritual theology emerging from various contexts of the majority world. Due attention will be given to spiritual reflections and practices, with the aim of enhancing students’ understanding and experience of spiritual formation within local and global communities of Christ.This course has a maximum enrollment of 12 students.

Class lists will be determined within a week after the early registration deadline, and you will be notified by email shortly thereafter. First priority will be given to students who need a course for the program to which they have been admitted, and who have registered by the early registration deadline.

Diane Stinton
Dean of Students; Associate Professor of Mission Studies and World Christianity
Diane Stinton joined the Regent College faculty in 2010, serving a double role as Dean of Students and Associate Professor of Missions Studies and World Christianity. She specializes in the study of world Christianity, particularly in theological developments in the global South. She has taught theology for many years in Kenya, where she helped launch two new programs: an MTh in African Christianity at Daystar University, and an MTh in World Christianity at the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology (NEGST). She is the author of Jesus of Africa: Voices of Contemporary Christology and the editor of African Theology on the Way: Current Conversations.
