Christian Education Bursaries
Regent's Christian Education Bursaries exist to help church communities strengthen and enhance their teaching ministries.
These bursaries cover most of the cost of auditing a J-Term (January Session) course. Recipients do not need to be current Regent students, and do not need to apply for a program: all you need is a desire to learn and enrich your teaching!
Eligibility
Recipients of Christian Education Bursaries must be laypeople active in a teaching ministry in their local church (e.g., teaching Sunday school, leading a small group Bible study, etc.). Church staff members and students currently enrolled in a Regent College program are not eligible for this bursary.
Preference will be given to individuals planning to audit a course that will enhance their teaching and discipling skills.
Recipients will be expected to write a brief (250-word) reflection on what they've learned in the course.
Process
Christian Education Bursaries will be administered by Regent’s Alumni & Church Relations Office. Applying is easy:
- Fill out this online form by December 12, 2025.
- We'll let you know whether your application has been approved by December 16.
- Register online to audit the course of your choosing and pay $150 to cover the registration fee and tuition deposit by December 19.
- The remaining cost of your course will be covered by the bursary (over $250 in value). Funds will be credited to your student account before the registration and payment deadline.
