Christian Education Bursaries

Regent's Christian Education Bursaries exist to help church communities strengthen and enhance their teaching ministries.

These bursaries cover most of the cost of auditing a J-Term (January Session) course. Recipients do not need to be current Regent students, and do not need to apply for a program: all you need is a desire to learn and enrich your teaching!

Eligibility

Recipients of Christian Education Bursaries must be laypeople active in a teaching ministry in their local church (e.g., teaching Sunday school, leading a small group Bible study, etc.). Church staff members and students currently enrolled in a Regent College program are not eligible for this bursary.

Preference will be given to individuals planning to audit a course that will enhance their teaching and discipling skills.

Recipients will be expected to write a brief (250-word) reflection on what they've learned in the course.

Process

Christian Education Bursaries will be administered by Regent’s Alumni & Church Relations Office. Applying is easy:

  1. Fill out this online form by December 12, 2025.
  2. We'll let you know whether your application has been approved by December 16.
  3. Register online to audit the course of your choosing and pay $150 to cover the registration fee and tuition deposit by December 19.
  4. The remaining cost of your course will be covered by the bursary (over $250 in value). Funds will be credited to your student account before the registration and payment deadline.

Deadlines

  • December 12: Last day to apply for a J-Term bursary
  • December 16: Notification of acceptance
  • December 19: Enroll and pay tuition fee & deposit
