Printing, Copying & Computer Access

Regent Library
Printing
Students can access Regent's library printers using an online program called PaperCut, accessed using your Regent Login. (Library patrons and visitors without a Regent Login can purchase a guest pass at the Circulation Desk.) The cost for printing is $0.10 per page—visit the Circulation Desk to load money to your account.
To print from your laptop or mobile device, log in to PaperCut and follow the instructions to submit and upload a print job. For a detailed walkthrough, see this guide to using PaperCut.

The library has two printers:
- Library Printer (single-sided printing) is located by the computer workstations to the right of the main entrance.
- Library Copier 2 (double-sided printing) is located in the Copier Room beside the Circulation Desk.
Copying
Students can make photocopies at the cost of $0.10 per page by logging into Library Copier 2 and selecting the ‘Copy’ function.
Scanning
Students can scan documents at no charge by logging into Library Copier 2 and selecting ‘Email’ or by using the book scanner in the Copier Room.
UBC Campus
For more complex printing and copying jobs (including colour printing), there are a number of other options nearby.
UBC Libraries offer printing, copying, and scanning services in a number of locations. Print jobs can be submitted online. Visit the UBC Library website to learn more about printing at UBC.
Commercial printing and copying services are available at Staples (located across the street from Regent in University Village) and Copysmart (about 2 km away in Wesbrook Village).
Computer Access
The Regent College Student Association (RCSA) runs a small computer lab at Regent with six PCs running Microsoft Office and connected to the Internet. Access to the computer lab is included in the cost of the Student Association fee.
Additional computers can be accessed at some UBC computer labs.
Most students find that having their own computer is essential, as all assignments must be handed in typed and many are submitted online. Some students bring their own equipment from home, some purchase new computers when they arrive in Vancouver, and others acquire second-hand computers from students leaving Regent. Canadian power supply is 120V but most computers are dual voltage.
