What We Do
The mission of the Dean of Students Office is to help cultivate our communal life in Christ by fostering a global community of worship and prayer, hospitality and connection, and holistic wellbeing. We do this by seeking to pastorally accompany students throughout their studies, beginning with Orientation and ending with the Leaving Regent Retreat. The Dean of Students Office also oversees our Chapel gatherings, community groups, trios, and Fall Retreat. Members of the Dean of Students team are available for pastoral care at any point in your Regent journey; they also help to facilitate Regent's Counselling and Spiritual Direction Services.

Diane Stinton

Diane Stinton serves a dual role as Regent's Dean of Students and Associate Professor of Mission Studies & World Christianity. Prior to joining Regent's faculty in 2010, she taught theology at Daystar University and Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology, both located in Kenya. Diane is passionate about supporting Regent students' personal and spiritual growth as individuals, as a local community, and as part of the global body of Christ.
Claire Perini

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Claire Perini came to Regent as a student in 2010 and has been here ever since! Claire's role is to help foster our life together as a community through organizing events, liaising with faculty and the Regent College Student Association. She loves talking and praying with students, and would love to get to know you! She's (almost) always up for a chat, so don't hesitate to get in touch.
Thomas Bergen

Thomas Bergen is a 2013 Regent alumnus from Vancouver. He has led worship and taught music and theology in various school, church, and university contexts. He believes that worship coordinates everything. When he is not singing to his son, he likes to play disc golf and read about death and the apostle Paul.

Emily Larsen helps keep the Dean of Students Office running smoothly. She has been working at Regent since 2021 in a variety of capacities, and is also working on her ThM.
