Community Life

Studying at Regent is a shared endeavour. Drawn together from dozens of countries and denominations, we seek genuine connection as we learn both with and from one another.

Growing Together

Studying at Regent isn't just about growing as an individual; it's about growing together as the global body of Christ, in all its beautiful complexity. As a learning community, we strive to be a place where believers from different denominations, cultures, ethnic backgrounds, vocations, and stages of life can grow together through dialogue, mutual care, hospitality, and simply doing life together.

In our life together...

We aim to foster a community of belonging by:

  • Seeking to honour the image of God in one another;
  • Cultivating an appreciation of difference;
  • Learning to be curious and listen to one another well, especially when we disagree;
  • Encouraging one another in our shared commitment to Jesus Christ, his church, and his world.

We aim to love one another well by:

  • Welcoming one another as sisters and brothers in Christ;
  • Helping to bear one another's burdens;
  • Giving and receiving hospitality;
  • Showing the kind of grace and compassion that Christ has shown us.

We aim to enjoy life in community:

  • Being a place of hard work and deep reflection, but also a place of laughter and fun;
  • Studying, serving, resting, and playing in a spirit of collaboration and friendship;
  • Trying not to take ourselves too seriously;
  • Celebrating together and sharing our joy.

The Regent community, like the global church itself, is both beautiful and complex. Wherever you're coming from and whatever you're going through, we want this to be a place of welcome. We won't always get it right, but we want to be people marked by humility and a willingness to grow. We hope you'll join us on this journey of growing together.
