About the Contributor

Richard Austin is a theatre and television actor, who providentially grew up in the same region of England as Hopkins, and is intimately acquainted with Hopkins' language. He is widely acclaimed as the finest living performer of Hopkins' poetry. In 2003, Austin released a CD recording of this poetry, entitled Back to Beauty’s Giver. He has performed readings and recitations at numerous events around the world.
