Katherine Alsdorf founded the New City Fellows in 2016 in partnership with the Holy Trinity Anglican Church. New City Fellows—which Katherine continues to lead with her husband, John Alsdorf—seeks to equip young professionals in Raleigh, NC to be passionate, culturally attuned, gospel-shaped leaders. 

From 1976 to 2002, Katherine Alsdorf served in leadership roles in the high tech industry in California, Luxembourg, and New York. She was CEO of an online management education company, a hardware/software products company, and a satellite services company. After her work in the high tech world, Katherine founded Redeemer’s Center for Faith & Work, serving as Executive Director from 2002–2012. The Center’s mission is to mobilize the church to apply the gospel to our work and become agents of renewal within our institutions. Katherine directed numerous innovative programs with the Center, including Gotham Fellowship, the Entrepreneurship Initiative, arts ministries, and vocation groups. She continues to spend much of her time working with churches to establish contextualized faith and work ministries. 

Currently, Katherine serves on the boards of Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship and the Theology of Work project. In 2012, Christianity Today named Katherine one of their “50 Women You Should Know.” Also in 2012, Katherine assisted Tim Keller in the writing of Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God’s Work. She earned her MBA at The Darden School at the University of Virginia, and took seminary classes at Regent College from 2001–2005.
