Updated October 15, 2025. Please read carefully to avoid delays in the application process.

About Deadlines

All registration changes must be submitted by 4:30 pm in person at Regent’s reception desk or by 11:59 pm online via REGIS (where applicable). All deadlines are listed in Pacific Time.

Registration & Course Change Deadlines

The early registration deadline for all Winter courses (including J-Term) is Friday, November 28, 2025. All students are encouraged to register before this date.

  • Students receiving Regent College financial aid must register by this deadline.
  • Students seeking entry to a priority enrollment course (identified as such in the course description) should register before this deadline; after this date, all courses will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The registration and payment deadline for January–April courses is Friday, January 9, 2026. Registrations submitted after this date will incur a late registration/payment fee of $50.

If you register or add a course after January 9, you must pay in full at the time of registration.

The final deadline to register, add a course, increase credits, or change from audit to credit is Friday, January 23, 2026.

J-Term (January Intensive) Courses

  • The registration and payment deadline for J-Term courses is Friday, January 2, 2026. Registrations submitted after this date will incur a late registration/payment fee of $50.
  • The last day to add a J-Term course is Monday, January 5, 2026. Payment must be made in full at the time of registration.
  • The final deadline to increase credits or change from audit to credit for a J-Term course is Friday, January 9, 2026.

Special Courses

  • Weekend and GENR courses must be added before the course begins (see syllabi for dates).
  • A guided study, final project, or practicum may be added until 4:30 pm on Friday, January 23.
  • A thesis or IPIAT for the Winter Term may be added until 4:30 pm on Friday, April 17.

Course Drop & Refund Policies

NOTE:  Any student with fees or tuition owing after the 100% tuition refund deadline (Friday, January 23, 2026) will be dropped from their class(es). If you have questions regarding this policy, please email [email protected].

Course changes must be submitted officially, either online through REGIS or by submitting a Winter Term 2026 Course Registration/Change Form to reception.

Unless otherwise noted in a course’s syllabus:

  • The deadline to receive a 100% tuition refund for dropping a course, reducing your credit count, or switching from credit to audit is Friday, January 23, 2026.
  • The deadline to receive a 75% tuition refund for dropping a course is Friday, February 13, 2026. No refunds of tuition or fees will be issued after this date.

The final deadline to drop a course, reduce your credit count, or switch from credit to audit is Friday, February 27, 2026. After this, you are considered to have attempted the course and must receive a grade.

J-Term (January Intensive) Courses

For J-Term courses:

  • The deadline to receive a 100% tuition refund for dropping a course, reducing your credit count, or switching from credit to audit is Friday, January 2, 2026.
  • The deadline to receive a 75% tuition refund for dropping a course is Tuesday, January 6, 2026. No refunds for tuition or fees will be issued after this date.

The final deadline to drop a course, reduce your credit count, or switch from credit to audit in a J-Term course is Friday, January 9, 2026.

Student Fees for Winter Term 2026

Tuition & fees are due in full on Friday, January 9, 2026.

Student Fees: Eligibility

  • During the registration period, all students who are registered with 3 or more credits are charged student fees. After December 15, 2025, these fees are non-refundable regardless of whether courses are dropped.
  • If you take fewer than 3 credits but at least 3 audit hours (or at least 3 combined audit/credit hours), you may opt in to all Student Fees by checking the appropriate box on the Registration form (no partial opt-ins are permitted).
  • If you take fewer than 3 credit and/or audit hours, you are not eligible to pay Student Fees.

AMS Health & Dental Plan

To view full details of this plan, or to opt out of this plan, please visit studentcare.ca (select UBC Vancouver as your school).

  • The Change-of-Coverage Period for the AMS Health & Dental Plan is posted at studentcare.ca (under "coverage”). For information about opting out of the plan, or opting in family members for an additional fee, visit the Healthcare page on our website (rgnt.net/ams-health).
  • If you opt out of the plan, the plan fee initially charged to your account will be refunded and you will not be required to pay that amount before the payment deadline.
  • Failure to opt out or pay this fee by the last day of the opt-out period will incur a late payment fee.

U-Pass Fee

For full details about the U-Pass BC, please visit the U-Pass page on our website (rgnt.net/u-pass). If you drop all your classes after December 15, 2025, and would like to request a pro-rated refund for remaining monthly passes, please email [email protected].

Academic Policies: Please consult our Academic Catalogue (rgnt.net/catalogue) for admissions policies, program requirements, program duration, appeals, rules of conduct and dismissal, academic policies, and fees.

Bullying and Harassment, and Discrimination Prevention Policy: Regent College is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for all persons, and to being further educated on these realities. Bullying and Harassment, and Discrimination are serious offences and are not tolerated by Regent College and may be cause for corrective or disciplinary actions up to and including termination or expulsion. By signing the registration form, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to abide by the Bullying and Harassment, and Discrimination Prevention Policy (see: rgnt.net/prevention).

Tuition & Fees

Registration Fee & Tuition Deposit: $150

In order to register for Winter 2026, you will need to make an up-front payment of $150. This initial payment has two parts: a $35 non-refundable registration fee and a $115 tuition deposit. The tuition deposit will be credited to your student account and applied toward your tuition. Should you drop your courses for the term, the tuition deposit will be held in your student account and may be used for tuition in a future term.

Tuition

  • $545 per onsite credit hour
  • $565 per online credit hour
  • $400 per onsite audit hour
  • $420 per online audit hour

Total: $394.16 for returning students / $653.00 for students beginning in 2026

This amount consists of:

  • $206.56 – Regent and UBC student fees (RCSA fee, AMS membership fee, retreats fee)
  • $187.60 – U-Pass fee
  • $258.84 – AMS Health & Dental (new students only; individual coverage, Jan 1–Aug 31)

Administrative Fees (if applicable)

  • $50 – Late registration/payment (if registering or paying after January 9, 2026)
  • $50 – Failure to drop a course not attended
  • $20 – Dishonoured cheque

Special Course Fees (if applicable)

  • $100 – Academic Writing (GENR 311)
  • $70 – IPIAT Handling Fee
